Part III: Detailed Information
General Description
Webster stands five feet tall, with close-cropped auburn hair and steel-grey eyes. His face is thin and appears longer than it should, but only from lack of fullness in his cheeks. He is very slender, and is hurt easily. Oddly enough, he has never broken a bone.
Even though he has several friends, he doesn't consider any of them to be his 'best' friend, and feels more comfortable talking to his owl, Ani, than anyone else, at least about private matters.
Personality
Normally, Webster is a fun-loving boy, just like his friends. When he is alone, however, Webster grows more self-critical. His parents' high standards, being the only one of his friends to not enter the Shrieking Shack, and his physical weakness all team up on his fragile self-esteem, making him feel almost worthless.
Aside from that, Webster is determined to become an excellent wizard. While this coincides with his parents hopes, his desire stems from his yearning for permanent self-worth. He wants to feel like he can be someone important, someone powerful, someone who people respect.
Background:
Webster Daniels is not your average aspiring wizard. His parents, both hailing from Slytherin, had high hopes for his brother Tony. Upon discovering that he was a squib, Tony was sent to live with relatives in Manchester, and heaped even more expectations on Webster.
This led Webster to try to spend as much time as possible away from home. He quickly made several friends around Hogsmeade and in school. Several of his closest friends and he often play around the Shrieking Shack, daring each other to go in. To date, Webster's the only one to not have gone in.
Upon recieving the invitation to Hogwarts, his parents were ecstatic, although not for Webster's sake. They plan to have him become a powerful wizard and support them in their 'old' age. Webster, however, is just happy to be living away from his family for nine months a year. Two of his friends are in his year, while one will be joining next year.
His first year went fairly well. He's learning to play Quidditch, and hopes to try out for the Slytherin team in his 3rd year. His favorite class so far is flying, but hopes to take Ancient Languages as soon as he can.
Please explain how your character feels about the following characters.
Professor Dumbledore:
Dumbledore is well-meaning, if a little eccentric. He seems to act as if he knows something big's going to happen in the future.
Professor Snape:
Some of my friends complain about his class, but I don't agree. He's not that bad, as long as you do ALL of your work.
Professor Quirrell:
Quirrell really loves his textbooks, and goes by them as if they were the bible. While it's usually a good thing, his adherence to them can get a little frustrating sometimes.
Professor Kettleburn:
Kettleburn has that air of superiority around him, like he knows he's better than you. He loves to answer questions, but I'm not sure if it's to help the students or show off.
