Welcome to Shared Hogwarts, an online Harry Potter 'zine. Here, you will be able to create characters and tell their stories within a continuous world -- that of Hogwarts before the Boy Who Lived makes his grand entrance. There are over 1,000 students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, according to J. K. Rowling. Now is the time to hear of their adventures and their lives.
Shared Hogwarts is similar to a role-playing game, in that you can create a character, a history and family for that character, and create adventures for the character. However, unlike most online RPGs, Shared Hogwarts is a "play by story" game. You, the player, write short (or long!) stories about your character and his or her adventures. What happens in your story affects the events in other players' stories as well, so that our world of Hogwarts develops a rich life of its own.
